Digitising is the conversion of a logo into a stitchable format that embroidery machines can read. It is a skilled task and more than anything else affects the quality of the finished embroidery.
We have our own in-house digitiser and have many years of experience in making your logo look really great when embroidered. When choosing an embroidery company, always ask where the embroidery digitising is done, as many competitors use overseas digitising services. We will accept your own digitised file if you already have one and will report back to you how it runs. Some cheap files contain unnecessary jumps and stitches that reduce the quality of the embroidery. This can also mean a delay if we have to make changes.
For the best design results our digitiser requires high resolution art work. This should be supplied either in .pdf or .jpg formats. Quality input equals quality output. We also scan hard copy artwork such as business cards and letterheads of high resolution print.
We don’t usually create a design from scratch unless it is from our stock designs or is relatively easy. Stock designs (think ‘christmas’ designs for gifts) are charged at less than a design from scratch.
After digitising and colour matching your logo, we send an image to you for approval. A stitched sample of your design is provided upon request to ensure you are as pleased with the results as we want you to be.
